Python API Development.

Connect Python capabilities to a working application.

I build Python APIs that expose a clear, controlled interface to application logic, data processing or an AI feature. The API defines what a caller may submit, which records they may access and how success or failure is reported. The service is designed around its actual workload, including processing time and deployment limits.

Choose the boundary between code and product

A useful Python script often needs more work before other users or systems can call it reliably. This service turns agreed functionality into an API with a defined request and response contract. It can also cover a new backend workflow built in Python.

AI model development, broad data science work and a complete frontend are separate scopes. The API can connect to those components, but they are not assumed to be included simply because Python is involved.

Plan the contract and workload

We identify callers, access rules, input schemas and expected processing time. FastAPI can provide an OpenAPI-described interface, while Pydantic helps validate request and response structures. Business-rule checks still need explicit implementation.

If work takes longer than a normal request should remain open, we plan job submission, status and result retrieval. That decision prevents a long-running process from being hidden behind an unreliable loading screen.

Implement with controlled data access

I build the agreed endpoints, validation and record-access checks, keeping provider and database credentials on the server. Error responses give callers a useful next step without revealing internal secrets.

For an AI-connected endpoint, the scope defines output validation and any required human review. A valid response schema does not establish that generated content is factually correct.

Check the service under realistic conditions

Verification includes malformed inputs, permission failures, duplicate submissions and external timeouts. For processing jobs, we check the progress and failure states so the calling application can report what happened accurately.

Deployment is assessed against memory, execution time and concurrency needs. A free serverless tier is not a promise that every processing workload fits; infrastructure limits are part of the design discussion.

A documented service you can operate

You receive API source, agreed schemas, API documentation, deployment configuration and tests for important application boundaries. Operating notes cover dependencies, required settings and the expected handling of failed tasks.

An illustrative scope is a document-processing endpoint that accepts an authorised request, tracks processing and returns validated fields. The precise feature and evaluation requirements are agreed separately.

What to share for an estimate

Send the input and output examples, current Python code if available, intended API callers and hosting requirements. Explain the approximate workload and whether any data is confidential. These details determine the processing design and implementation effort.

USEFUL TO KNOW

Before
we begin.

Can you turn my existing script into an API?+

Yes, after reviewing its dependencies, runtime and behaviour. The work adds agreed contracts, access controls and failure handling around the useful functionality.

Does FastAPI make it automatically secure?+

No. A framework helps implement an API, but permissions, input handling, secrets and deployment configuration still need explicit design and checks.

Can it connect to an LLM?+

Yes, within an agreed integration scope. Provider costs, output checks, data policies and processing time need to be included in that design.

needs to change.

Share sample inputs and outputs, the intended callers and any code or infrastructure already in place.
